First School Assignment
So for my Intro to Design Class we had to make a flyer for either a party or something of that sort, and I decided to do a flyer for my band's next show what do you think?

The Racketeer Cloaked In A Tacky Dress
i strangle my shirt as a rare expression hijacks my face
sending me on a parachute-less trip to a buried case
not the usual 6ft deep soul release
that sends black fashion crowds on flooded knees
but more of a mental box dropped off, purposely left to sit
on the corner of grow up an I’ll never forget
i lift the box…
an easily crack the code of the combination lock
simple task… seeing as.
they we’re the numbers representing our past
i fix my lips as im approached by a letter never opened
an suddenly my heartbeat at that second is stolen
i scan my setting for a crooked spy who only a few days back bumped in to me
her anxious force whispered she was out to steal my memories
she wore a tacky expression
that screamed deception
but enough about this character drenched in imperfections
i make a dash to an empty bench that haunts my lips
for it was the same one in which we shared our 1stkiss
i open the letter…perplexed as i see its blank minus the fine print
that reads [would you remember me if i didn't really exist]
an at that moment i realize the crooked spy
was you in from a future time getting rid of whatever was you and i…..
[should i still remember you?]

Portishead Third
Ah, this album is one of those rare albums that everyone should listen to no matter who you are. I first heard Third back in 08 when it came out with no idea who Portishead was I was a junior in high school at the time and I remember going to this online store I went to daily called Art N Water and the song "Machine Gun" instantly got my attention, I mean what teenager in love with a heavy bass and harsh sounding drums wouldn't be completely consumed by the song...Over the summer of 09 I got the album and listened to the other songs, and realized that this was a complete masterpiece I mean Portishead takes a 10yr hiatus and comes back with this? I guess "PATIENCE is the mother of Beautiful Art" My favorites off this album are Hunter,Plastic,MachineGun,Carry On,Thread my top song has to be Hunter..Everyday I turn offf my lights turn my speakers to mass and let the intense emotional bass of this song rattle my windows and heart its quite soothing with a bit of tea. I recommend this album to anyone building a "BEST ALBUMS ON EARTH COLLECTION"
Wiki SaysOn 2 October 2007, Portishead stated that the new album Third had been mixed and was nearly complete, and was due for release in early April 2008. The release was later pushed to April 28. On 8 and 9 December 2007, the band curated the All Tomorrow's Parties festival in Minehead, England. The festival featured their first full live sets in nearly 10 years. They premiered five tracks from the new album: "Silence", "Hunter", "The Rip", "We Carry On", and "Machine Gun". On 21 January 2008, a European tour to support the album was announced, together with a headline spot at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on 26 April 2008,their only U.S date on the tour.
Third was made available on Last.fm the week before release, attracting 327,000 listeners in just under 24 hours. It was the first time Last.fm had made an album available before its official release date. The album was released on 29 April 2008 to coincide with the band's appearance at Coachella. On 29 May 2008, Portishead's Geoff Barrow realised a "boyhood fantasy" when Chuck D of Public Enemy joined the band onstage at the Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona. He contributed a freestyle rap over Portishead's single "Machine Gun".
