A Bathing Ape Takes a Final Bath

the street and fashion world was met with the shocking sale of over 90% of A Bathing Ape and its parent company NOWHERE to Hong Kong fashion conglomerate for minute sum of less than $3 million USD. In an article by Neojaponisme‘s W. David Marx, he parlays his own personal experience with A Bathing Ape and details its subsequent up and down success over the last 10 years which ultimately led to the sale of the brand. Many have speculated as to why the brand was sold for so little, however the Wall Street Journal painted a sobering picture in regards to how I.T is now in possession of NOWHERE’s ¥2.6 billion JPY (approximately $32 million USD) in debt. Looking back at Marx’s article, he speaks about the downfall of BAPE, it’s slight resurgence thanks to Pharrell Williams, and its relationship possessed between A Bathing Ape and the Chinese market. Ultimately, the sale of such a defining piece of Japanese fashion will leave many uneasy but then again, the Japanese economy has been slumping for some time. With ageism becoming a defining factor in its lack of progression on a corporate level, there seems to be larger issues than just the sale of a popular fashion brand. I had a lovely time in my soon to be new home in about a year Miami,FL. Spend my whole spring break with my now new girlfriend. All i can say is it was the best spring break by far..I hate getting to chatty so i wont i'll let the pictures be words

The Racketeer Cloaked In A Tacky Dress

i strangle my shirt as a rare expression hijacks my face
sending me on a parachute-less trip to a buried case
not the usual 6ft deep soul release
that sends black fashion crowds on flooded knees
but more of a mental box dropped off,purposely left to sit
on the corner of grow up an I’ll never forget
i lift the box…
an easily crack the code of the combination lock
simple task… seeing as.

an suddenly my heartbeat at that second is stolen
i scan my setting for a crooked spy who only a few days back bumped in to me
her anxious force whispered she was out to steal my memories
she wore a tacky expression
that screamed deception
but enough about this character drenched in imperfections
i make a dash to an empty bench that haunts my lips
for it was the same one in which we shared our 1stkiss
i open the letter…perplexed as i see its blank minus the fine print
that reads [would you remember me if i didn't really exist]
an at that moment i realize the crooked spy
was you in from a future time getting rid of whatever was you and i…..
