Converse x John Varvatos ‘ Heavy Metal’ High Tops

American menswear designer John Varvatos punks up yet another round of Chuck Taylors as part of his ongoing footwear line for Converse. The striped version is made from canvas and features studs on the heel and below the lace eyelets, while the black version employs waxed canvas uppers and sports a cluster of studs around the ankle area. Both shoes use the pre-scuffed soles that has become somewhat the norm for the Varvatos range.

"For our Navajo pack we created a custom woven in a dusty palette based on the medicine man’s eye, a design indicating wisdom and foresight–something we could all hope for.
